Career Opportunities

The graduates of the Landscape Architecture department have the opportunity to work in private, public, academic and non-profit organizations.

Many of our graduates are employed in landscape architecture, engineering, architectural and planning firms, and contracting companies. They work on various design, planning, and construction projects related to landscape architecture such as parks and recreational areas, urban and residential development, and commercial landscape. Our graduates have a wide range of employment opportunities in government and semi-government sectors such as Saudi Royal and Regional Development Authorities, Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Ministry of Health, Ministry of the Environment, Water and Agriculture, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Tourism, and the new wave of mega projects associated with the Vision 2030.

The job opportunities for landscape architects tremendously augmented with the launch of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the national economy, and develop public service sectors such as health, education, infrastructure, recreation, and tourism. The Vision 2030 is realized through ambitious programs (i.e., Quality of life program, Housing program, and Public Investment Fund Program), projects (i.e., NEOM, The Red Sea Development, Al-Ula, King Salman Park, Downtown Jeddah, Diriyah Gate Project and Green Riyadh project), and Initiatives (i.e., Saudi Green Initiatives).
